    • So does Chris.

[edit] Discussion Items

    • Lots of interest. For March 6th, first wednesday of the month.
  • Sysadmin position
    • Penny as secretary, has no idea how to be a sysadmin. We have sysadmin meetings, but no position where their job is to sysadmin.
  • Elections on Feb 26th. Nominations from now 'till Feb 24th.
    • Positions:
      • 3 Champions
      • Secretary
      • Treasurer
  • Juggling meetings are at 7:30; Ted and Michael need to leave soon, so they interrupt with this:
    • Ted wants to do a Rubiks Cube class
    • There seems to be interest already
  • Ted wants help making puzzle pieces sometime
  • Our first fundraiser: Laser cutter or 3d printer?
    • Most seem to want a 3d printer. They're cheaper too.
      • 5 people 3d printer, 3 for laser cutter.
    • Trever found a company based out of Cincinnati for $7.5k
    • MakerGear M2 is $850ish, from Cleveland
    • Kickstarter!
  • Envirocellular
    • Jeremy Graber
    • Recycles cell-phones as a way to generate revenue
    • We've got lots of contacts with businesses and such, we can be a great funnel for this
    • Several hundred to several thousand extra income per year.
    • Nothing for us to lose, except a few cubic centimeters for a box.
    • The actual recycling is outsourced to Colorado. 100% American and good for the environment.
    • 30% of the funds from the sale of each good phone, $1/lb for bad phones.
    • He'll cover shipping for anyone that wants to ship us phones from out of state.
    • No startup costs, its a fundraiser thing.
    • We'll put out a box
    • How many phones should we collect? Doesn't matter, he can swing by a meeting and pick them up or so.
