[Announce] Meeting results for Dec 6th, 2011

In summary, here's what happened:

* Lots of discussion about the hoops that need jumped through to be a
nonprofit
* Some people (Rick, Zeek) have experience with this and are helping out
* We need to form a board of directors, who then pass the bylaws that
define the officer positions
* Rick has a trailer we can use to store things in 'till we get a physical
location.

Concerning the board of directors, we've come up with a plan similar to
how HeatSync Labs does it. Their bylaws[1] define their officers as:

* Two "Champions", who drive the energy of the space
* Treasurer, responsible for collecting dues and doing money things
* Secretary, responsible for managing all the paperwork
* Operations, responsible for maintaining the facilities, herding the cats
to get stuff done (cleanup, lock doors on your way out, etc), and whatnot.

Additionally, they define that these officers are the only people who
constitute the board of directors. It simplifies things a lot.

To that end, we've come up with the following list of people who have
volunteered to become members of the board of directors:

* Trever Fischer
* Rick Neemer
* Chris Egeland
* Devin Lastnamenevermentionedboydoifeelsilly

If you would like to volunteer to be on the board, please discuss this on
the devel list before our next january organizational meeting. My plans
for organizing the final board is as follows:

* I write a synopsis for what I feel SYN/HAK's goal is, which then becomes
the basis for a mission statement that is discussed on the devel list.
* Nominations and volunteers are sought through the devel at synhak.org
mailing list, prior to January 10th
* At the same time, our officer positions will be discussed and
incorporated into a draft of the bylaws, prior to January 10th
* Range voting[2] amongst those present for that meeting will be used to
vote nominated people into the aforementioned officer positions on January
10th.
* This tenative board reviews the bylaws and mission statement to ensure
that they embody the spirit and direction of SYN/HAK.
* Incorporation as a non-profit with our chosen board as the incorporators
and founding officers.

The timeline beyond that:
* A bank account and accepting donations
* Get a space
* We party, because the dream has become a reality.
